WLR-9000 v1 001

Back

After installing new firmware, I can no longer connect to my network.

After correctly completing the installation, wait for approximately 10 minutes before using your network again. During the installation process the router will reboot, causing you to briefly lose the connection with your network (and thus the Internet). This is part of the procedure, and is quite normal. Do not worry about this or start switching the router on and off yourself because of this loss of connection. The router itself will eventually re-establish a network connection after a correct installation. This may take approximately 10 minutes.

If you still have no connection after 30 minutes, we recommend that you reset the router to the factory settings. Although the router settings should be retained after a firmware update, it may sometimes be the case that a number of settings will be lost. In that case, it is advisable to reset the router to the factory settings. Follow the steps below:

1.    Hold down the OPS button on the router for 20 seconds. Some dual-band routers have two buttons; one for each frequency (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz). In this case, hold down both buttons for 20 seconds.

2.    Wait 2 minutes

3.    The reset is complete.
